We’ll synergize with House C”ttee on Commerce,Industry to boost Imo economy-Agwu

The office of Economic Adviser to Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma has disclosed that the office would synergize with the Standing Committee on Commerce and Industry to boost the economy of the State.

This disclosed was made Hon. jovita Agwu who represented Prof. Kenneth Amaechi during the Inauguration ceremony of the House Committee Chairman on Commerce and Industry Hon. Johnleoba Iheoha, member representing Ikeduru State Constituency on Tuesday 12th December,2023.

Johnleoba who was inaugurated alongside other committee members in the presence of the Deputy Clerk Mr. Austin Okubuike who was at the venue to observe the exercise.

Agwu pointed out that the plan of the Committee is in line with their blueprint.

According to her, listening to his Inaugural Speech, it coincides with a lot of things we are doing, because in the office of Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, there is a program of Imo State Government we are promoting, one kindred, one business initiative (Okobi). She added that the essence of the initiative was to encourage people to go into businesses.
Just like the Honourable member has said, our focus is on individual. We train and mentor one in a particular business. Thank God the Standing Committee Chairman on Agriculture and Livestock, Hon. Uche Agabiga is also here as a member, we will equally partner with you in the area of Agriculture to ensure that our people go into that sector.
In his Remarks, the Chairman of the Committee Hon. Johnleoba Iheoha pointed that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear to Industrialize Imo State.

He said:” I believe I am an Industrialist, I believe I have the technical know how to pilot the affairs of this task given to me.”By the Special grace of God and the ranking members in this Committee, I believe that their support will go along way in making us proud in this Committee.
We will continue to support our Governor in the area of Industrialization”
