Ihedioha, followers exit from PDP, blessing in disguise- acting Chairman

Imo State acting Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Sir Chidi Dike has described the exit of the former Governor of the state, His Excellency Emeka Ihedioha and his followers from the party as a blessing in disguise.
The new chairman stated this while in an interactive session with newsmen under the aegis of Okigwe Media Practitioners Association in his office along Okigwe Road, Owerri, Imo State.
He explained that the party could thenceforth heave a sigh of relief with the departure of those he described as “enemies within”
According to him, inundating the media both print and online with resignation letters would not unsettle the party rather a relief.
He disclosed: “as they are leaving the party more prominent leaders across the state are making progress to rejoin the party”.
“A lot of party faithful who left the party because of bad treatment meted out to them by the former leadership are now happy of their exit as they have signalled of their return in no distant time. “Since my assumption as the chairman, I have received several calls from our former members indicating interest to come back.
I am a man of grace, my grace has being empowering me to win in every of my endeavour.
“I and my new leadership as a vibrant team will reposition the party to win elections in Imo State”.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Association comrade Kelechi Uzoma described the meeting as a familiarization one. He noted that the media would continue to contribute its quota in the development of Democracy in the country.
