Kegites Int’l Club holds her Annual event in Owerri amidst fanfare

Amidst fanfare adorned with glamour, the Kegites International Club, Imo State “hemispheral” council has successfully held her annual carnival tagged:”2024 Annual Lecture/World gyration” at Rock View Hotels, Owerri, Imo State on Saturday, 27th July, 2024.
The world gyration (gara) assembled different Ilyaais (Clubs) and other hemispheral councils within the Southern hemisphere and beyond which included Il ya du Porta (Uniport), Il ya du Engine, Il ya tawinji, Akwa hemispheral council, Abia and others too numerous to mention.
The event featured a lecture series in day.
The world gyration was proceeded with a home coming gara at City Chef Bar at Rock View Lane on 26th Friday night where the ex-members of the club had a night of bliss.
In deed, it was a night of glowing carnival and gyration as the event saw World Chiefs, LSF, and other Archival entities, ABs etc.
Speaking to our Correspondent shortly after the World gyration night, the Imo State hemispheral council Chairman High Chief Chioma M Orjiako, Ph.D described Kegites as the only organization that promotes African culture, saying that the club has remained one Supreme Club with branches in almost all institutions and in every state of Nigeria and beyond.
Orjiako pointed out that Club promotes African cultural heritage in all ramifications as it discourages social vices, reckless drinking and cultism. He noted that the club welcomes men and women with proven integrity.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the Imo State hemispheral council Chief Samuel Okoro Agwu also known as Chief Samsung of Il ya du Elephant restated that Kegites Club is the bedrock of African culture for peace and oneness.
He disclosed that the unification with palm wine is a unique element, noting its formation without a refinery is an enigma to the Western believe.
