Okoroike’s Inauguration: Godon, Osuji, Emele, Nduka, Ahubelem hail Uzodimma for Commitment

Following the Inauguration of Evangelist Chika Okoroike as the Executive Chairman of Isiala Mbano local government Area of Imo State, leaders across the council have commended the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for been resolute to conduct local government election in the State.

Eminent Personalities who made this assertion on Monday during the reception ceremony of the new local government boss in a chat with Newsmen included Venerable Engr Godson Onukwugha(Godon), member representing Isiala Mbano State Constituency, Hon. Sam Osuji, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Mrs. Ruby Emele, Former Isiala Mbano Council Chairman Hon. TonyBlack Nduka, and the Coordinator for APC Youths and Students and former APC Chairmanship Aspirant for Isiala Mbano, Hon. Chizitere Ahubelem popularly known as “Chizzy Wizzy” gave the commendation.

Speaking at the occasion, Vulnerable Engr. Godson Onukwugha who is known as Godon commended the Governor for his resolve to conduct local government election in the state.

He said, “We thank Governor
Hope Uzodimma for following the law for this election. And above all, for choosing the best and wonderful candidate for Isiala Mbano, in the person of our capacity Chairman, Evang. Chika Okoroike who has been a wonderful young man.

“He has shown capacity from the Interim Management Council Chairman, sole administrator till now.

“He is a young man that gets money to empower people, to look at the less-privileged. That’s why we need more of him.”
Ven. Onukwugha prayed God to take him higher.

In a similar vein, a former Mayor of Okigwe, High Chief Tony Black Nduka, described the exercise as a harbinger of development.

He said, “It’ll bring about development. I want to thank the Governor to have fulfilled that promise to conduct the elections and handover local government administration to the people through the Executive Chairmen. So I’m happy about it.”

He said Isiala Mbano is luckier to have Okoroike whom he described as an intelligent, brilliant, unassuming young man, and pledged to give him his unalloyed support to succeed.

Nduka, however harped on the necessity for reconciliation of people of the local government, adding “With unity, Okoroike’ll achieve whatever he wants to achieve in Isiala Mbano.”

In his remarks, a social media influencer and an APC youth leader who aspired for the chairmanship election for the area, Engr Chizitere Ahubelem (Chizzy Whizzy), pledged to support the Executive Chairman.

He said, “We’re available to support him. And he said he is going to take everyone along.”

The deputy majority leader in the State House of Assembly, (APC Isiala Mbano State Constituency), Hon Sam Ikechukwu Okwubanego Osuji, described the whole thing as “bringing dividends of democracy to the grassroots, to villages, to communities, and to local governments.”

Osuji stated that Uzodimma needed accolades as he had demonstrated that he was a man of his words.

“And we’re very grateful to him. We pray that God will continue to sustain him with good health, sound mind to continue to do what he knows best how to do.
“Imo State is rejoicing with the inauguration. It’s another great thing that has happened to Imo State,” the lawmaker stated.

The commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ruby Emele, noted that the significance of the third tier of government could not be overemphasized.

She therefore commented the Governor for making it possible, saying development would now get down to the grassroots.

As a lover of rural development, Mrs Emele expressed optimism that the third tier governance would create small scale entrepreneurship and boost development.
